The Crow's Nest, St Mary's,
Isles of Scilly
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION:
With a view over St Mary’s harbour and with the beach as the ‘back garden’, The Crow’s Nest is really in a fabulous location. The morning sun streams through the window of the double bedroom and shower room.
Sit and eat breakfast whilst watching the boats in the harbour. When you see the passenger boats crossing to the quay hurry down and if the tide is out walk along the beach to the boats waiting to take you to Tresco or Bryher, St Agnes or St Martins, or to see the puffins or the seals on the outlying rocks.
At the end of the day dump your bags, take a bottle of wine to the beach outside and watch the sun set over Samson. Wander up the Main Street and decide what you will have for supper. Afterwards you can be home in five minutes, unless of course, you take a last stroll to the quay to see the island lights reflected in the water, the flashing of Round Island lighthouse and the light in your living room offering a soft welcoming glow.
The Crow’s Nest is located on the second floor of an old granite building called Smugglers Ride which has been turned into flats. It has a living room with a fully fitted kitchen area, double bedroom and shower room. It sleeps two people. Bedlinen, towels, heating, lighting and WiFi are included in the price which starts at £250 a week in the low season.
If you have ever wondered what it would be like to live on an island in the winter we can offer you a special price for a month’s stay. WiFi means you can still work!
We are happy to answer any questions about getting to the islands. Then all you need do is relax and enjoy the beauty of these isles, whatever the season.
